Alan offers innovative and effective training, facilitation, and education services throughout the United States and beyond. He helps high schools, middle schools, universities, non-profits, churches and other groups to gain the skills they need to serve more effectively and creatively. He also offers powerful team-building and empowerment programs for both young people and adults.
As a facilitator and educator, Alan has touched the lives of thousands of young people and trained hundreds of teachers, youth workers, and other non-profit leaders across the country. He is known for leading engaging and inspiring trainings, retreats and workshops which provide participants with practical tools for re-imagining and revitalizing their lives and work.
Alan has been a lead facilitator with the Power of Hope youth-empowerment program in Seattle for the last ten years, and was the Program Director and Program Manager there for eight. He has offered creative leadership trainings and workshops for the University of Washington, Seattle Public Schools, GEAR UP, the College Success Foundation, the Waaponi Foundation (in Cuenca, Ecuador), PYE Global, the Evergreen State College, One World Now, and many more. He also has experience in diversity training and mindfulness techniques.
